Pontiac Spark Plug Wire

Spark plug wires are among the components of the ignition system that helps the
engine to burn the air and fuel mixture efficiently through a precise manner.
Other ignition components generally include ignition wires, distributor rotor,
distributor cap, ignition coil, ignition module, and other primary triggering
devices. The
Pontiac spark plug wires are designed to carry the massive electrical
voltages from the distributor cap to the spark plugs that are connected on each
cylinder of the engine.
Pontiac spark plug wires are made from very low resistance material in order
to provide and transfer the maximum amount of energy needed by the engine. However,
this transfer of energy can be disrupted by several factors. One of the most common
interrupter is the EMI (electromagnetic interference). This can cause incorrect
signals to be sent to the engine management system and other electronic devices
that are used to burn the air and fuel mixture efficiently. Engine that is running
under this condition can dramatically affect its power and efficiency.
Another factor that can make the spark plug wires efficiency interrupted is when
the moisture is trapped in the spark plug holes or in between the spark plug and
the wires itself. This interruption can cause arcing that will have a permanent
effect to the spark plug wires and probably the spark plugs.
If this is the condition of your engine, the only option you can choose is to
replace all your Pontiac spark plug wires. Routing the spark plug wires in the
area that have a massive engine temperature can prematurely damage the silicon
insulation and cause another factor that will affect the efficiently transfer
of the massive voltage required by the engine.
